Someone has said, “Those who can’t do, teach.” The idea is often people become professors or teachers by earning degrees and have little life experience. If you look online there are many programs offering certificates as “life coaches.”
In the last issue of the Equipper, I introduced the concept of life and ministry coaching. A distinction was made between teaching, training, mentoring and coaching.
I thought it would be good to define a few terms related to coaching. Sometimes these terms are confused as coaching. The definitions are given in relationship to the coaching ministry.
Recently, I had the opportunity to get away with my wife. In addition to time with her, this gave me time to spend on reading and scanning several books on coaching.
