THE WORD OF GOD

The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the verbally inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, and therefore are sufficient as the only infallible and authoritative rule for salvation, faith and practice in all matters to which they speak. Psalm 119:160; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21.

THE GODHEAD

There is One God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. All three being coexistent, coequal, and coeternal, exercising distinct and harmonious offices over all creation. God is perfect in holiness, wisdom and love. He is all powerful, all knowing and present everywhere. He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men and is righteous and just in all things. Genesis 1:1; Exodus 15:11; Psalm 83:18; 139:7-9; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30.

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is the eternal Only Begotten Son of God the Father. He is not only fully God but also became a man being miraculously virgin born of Mary. He was tempted in all points like us, but without sin, He gave Himself in death upon the cross, bearing the sin of the world, thus, providing substitutionary atonement. He bodily rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and is our high priest interceding for His people. We believe in His premillennial return. John 1:1, 14; 3:16; Matthew 1:18-25; Galatians 4:4-5; Philippians 2:6-10; 1 Corinthians 15:3-7; Hebrews 4:14-16; 1 John 2:1,2; Acts 1:9-11; Rev. 20:1-4.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

He is the third person of the trinity, and the divine Agent in nature, revelation and redemption. He convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness and judgment; He regenerates, indwells, baptizes and seals all the children of God through Christ. Further, we believe the Spirit empowers, gifts, guides, teaches, sanctifies and fills all believers who are submitted to God. Evidence of the Spirit includes the fruit of the Spirit which is to be manifested in all believers. John 3:5; 14:16, 17,26; 16:7-14; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:4-13; Ephesians 1:13, 5:18; Galatians 5:22-26.

MAN (People)

Men are, by nature and choice, sinners and are separated from God without hope apart from the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Man was made in the image of God but through Adam's sin the human race became fallen. Thus, all men are under righteous judgment and the wrath of God. Further, we believe man cannot save himself from this lost state. Genesis 1:27; 3:6; Psalm 51:5; Romans 3:23, 5:12,19; Galatians 3:11.

SALVATION BY GRACE

Salvation is the free gift of God by the regeneration of the Holy Spirit and received through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This grace is sovereignly given by God and is not dependent on nor earned by any merit of men but is solely based on the work of Jesus Christ on the cross and His shed blood. Further, we believe that salvation results in righteous living and good works for the glory of God. Ephesians 2-10; Titus 3:5; John 1:12; 3:14; 10:28,29; Romans 8:1; 12:1,1,2; Philippians 1:6; 2:16.

THE CHURCH

The Church is a spiritual body of which Christ is the head and is composed of all who are saved by the grace of God. We believe that the visible expression of the spiritual Church is manifested in local churches (assemblies). Two ordinances, baptism of believers by immersion and The Lord's Table, have been ordained in scripture and are to be observed by the local church. Further, we believe that the local church is to be biblically balanced in the ministries of discipleship, fellowship, worship and evangelism. Acts 2:41-42,47; 6:1-5; 13:1-3; 15:22,23; 1 Corinthians 11:2; Matthew 28:19,20.
