Dr. Gary R. Becker has served as the founder and executive director for Biblically Balanced Ministries, Inc. since its beginning in 1997. His desire is to be an enabler of others in equipping people and churches to demonstrate Christ's love through balanced living and ministry. With more than forty-five years experience in pastoral ministry he now serves as a Barnabas in coming alongside pastors, people and churches as an encourager and leadership developer.

He has served as the founder and executive director for Biblically Balanced Ministries, Inc. since its beginning in 1997. He has been a student of what God is using to build his church today and seeks to help churches and pastors to explore options to fulfill the mission of the church.

His pastoral experience began in a small urban church in northern New Jersey. Since that time he has pastored churches with multiple staff in mostly suburban areas. Most of the pastoral experience was in independent baptistic Bible churches. There have been experiences of seeing dynamic growth and times of transition. It could be said, "he knows the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat." The diversity of experience in ministry has increased his insight and understanding of many of the struggles facing churches and pastors.

His passions are focused on seeing churches balance four areas of ministry:

  1. Exploring the God given potential of ministry for His glory

  2. Equipping believers for ministry and leadership with the Word of God

  3. Encouraging biblical leadership facing the challenges of ministry today

  4. Expanding ministry for a greater local and global impact

In 2013, he resigned from serving as Senior Pastor at David's Community Bible Church and moved to Lancaster, PA. This has enabled him to serve full-time with BBM and allows him to minister throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region.

Educationally, he holds the degrees of a B.A. in Biblical Studies and Th. B. from Northeastern Bible College, a Masters in Theological Education from New Brunswick Seminary and a Doctorate in Practical Theology from Masters University of Divinity.

He and his wife, Dianne, have four children (now adults) who are all walking in fellowship with the Lord and serving in churches. I [we] have no greater joy than to hear that my [our]children are walking in the truth (3 John 1:4). They are also blessed with eleven grandchildren.
