Christmas is one of the greatest opportunities to share your faith. Don't miss the opportunity.
We often find it difficult to start a conversation to share our faith. Christmas is a season when people are more likely to talk about Jesus then any other time of the year.
1 Perter 3:15 is a challenge to us, “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.” Sharing with people why this season is filled hope provides a great opportunity.
Let me suggest a few starters for sharing your hope at this time of year:
Ask people, why Christmas is a season of lights? Simple answer Jesus is the light of the world.
Ask people if they understand the manger scene or what the manger symbolizes to them. Share with the one one the many promises and/or announcements at the birth of Jesus.
You might want to share a special way you and/or your family keeps the meaning of Christmas focused on Jesus.
Another simple way to share your faith is to invite someone to a Christmas service or to join in a drive thru nativity. Then take time to ask if they have any thoughts about the program. You can, also, share what it meant to you.
This is a season of opportunity, don't miss it!
